Welcome home to Miriam and Rabbi Cohen. Rabbi Cohen will be resuming the Shabbos Afternoon Gemara Shiur this Shabbos between the 2 Minchas and the Monday - Thursday morning Amud Yoni Shiur, studying Masseches Sukkos this coming Monday after the second Shachris Minyan.

We regret to inform you of the passing the mother of Madeline Schwartz, Mrs. Regina Schnur.

A graveside ceremony and burial will take place today, Thursday, July 21st at 11:30am at Community Synagogue Cemetery at the Brick Church Cemetery in Monsey NY.

The family will be sitting shiva beginning Thursday afternoon July 21st at the home of Madeline and Justin Schwartz, 4 West Fessler Drive, Monsey NY through Wednesday, July 27th.

May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim.

Shabbat Shlach - July 1st - 2nd

Hachnasat Sefer Torah
On Sunday afternoon, July 3, our Shul will receive a new Sefer Torah in memory of Willie Goldstein, a”h. From 1 - 4 PM, individuals can come to the Pressman home and complete a letter in the Torah, after which we will accompany the Sefer Torah as it is brought from their home to the Shul. The procession will begin at 4 PM with music and dancing, and proceed to our Shul, where the Sefer will be properly welcomed and ensconced in the Aron Kodesh. The celebration will then continue in the Shul with singing, dancing, Mincha and a kiddush.

The family will be sitting Shiva at The Fountainview, 2000 Fountainview Drive, Apartment 3110 (main building) (19 College Rd for GPS purposes) until Tuesday morning, July 5th. We regret to inform you of the passing of our former member, Rosalie Rosenthal in Florida this week.

The Levaya took place in Florida on Thursday, June 30th. A graveside ceremony and burial will take place on Friday, July 1st at 2 pm at Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663. The family will be sitting shiva Sunday morning, July 3rd, from 10 AM – 5 PM and 7 PM – 9 PM at the home of her daughter, Renee Rabinowitz, 6 Verona Court, New City, NY and then the family will return to Florida for the remainder of the shiva .

Independence Day - The 4th of July
Monday, July 4th is Independence Day, the 240th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We urge everyone to participate in one of the many local celebrations in our area.
